The Silent Academy accepts submissions and project proposals on a rolling basis.

We like inquisitive artists that are familiar with the spirit of our previous work. 

Guidelines

Text submissions should be made in PDF format.

For poetry please send a sample of 5 poems. 

No poem should be longer than 30 lines. 

However, poems over 30 lines may be submitted if they are submitted singularly. 

Fiction and Creative Non-fiction samples should represent the first three chapters. (Incomplete manuscripts are okay – but we want a sense of your first draft)

Image submissions should be made in JPG format.

Visual artists should provide a written outline of their work, along with 5 JPG images of their project.

All submissions should be accompanied by:

A cover letter.

Writer/Artist bio.

A brief list of any previous publications/appearances/installations.

We will contact successful candidates within six weeks of the reading period.
